I love news writing, and have been writing press releases for about 20 years. Before that, I was on the other side of the fence as a news writer who received and used press releases to create news stories. I've even served as the director of media relations for the mayor of a medium-sized county. I know what works. I am a professionally trained journalist and am also accredited nationally in public relations and internationally in business communication. Media outlets can, and generally do, use my press releases just as they are written.
